The rmtPRO Facial Massage course was written specifically to adhere to the RMT scope of
practice within Canada. Our first lecture is always sope of practice, in which we learn about the differences between a "facial " and a professional RMT Facial Massage. In this 3 day packed out class learn the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the face, neck, and decollete. Apply therapeutic massage techniques for the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissues and joint, including, Buccal Technique and appropriate post surgical scare tissue work and nerve impingement treatment. Learn how to develop, maintain, rehabilitate, or augment the functioning of the tissue and relieve pain in these areas. Gain understanding for how we adjust and work with clients who have undergone modern cosmetic medical procedures such a neuromodulators and fillers, when it is and is not appropriate to treat. Master the techniques you need to meet you clients goals for treatment through proper assessment and by applying your new knowledge and tayloring the treatment to your unique practice situation. Dive into the biochemistry of appropriate massage mediums for facial massage treatment, and how to ethically grow a solid second stream of retail income if you so choose.

Instructor Bio:

Brandi started her education in facial massage before becoming a RMT in 2004. After understanding the western concepts behind the traditional treatments knew she would incorporate facial massage treatment within her practice. In 2021 Brandi started to teach the Swedish, Hungarian, Chinese, and Thai facial massage systems that she had learned and practiced through a contemporary massage lens, allowing for respect towards traditional concepts while building a foundation of rational and evidence informed facial treatment.
Brandi works and lives in small town Saskatchewan, has a busy varied practice, and finds a deep satisfaction when her clients are joyfully surprised after experiencing all the therapeutic benefits of facial massage treatment.
