Massage Therapy Awareness Week is October 22-28, 2023, and this year to mark the occasion, the RMTAO is focusing on how massage therapy can help people recover from various injuries and conditions, and get through certain stages and situations more comfortably.
Although people are more aware of massage therapy in general, they are less likely to be aware of all the different ways massage therapy can help them. We have created several sample social media posts, added to our sample social media posts created for Massage Therapy Awareness Week in 2022, focusing on various ways massage therapy can help people. This includes massage therapy for pregnancy, for post-surgical recovery, for headaches, for carpal tunnel syndrome, and more! Access our sample social media posts.
We encourage you to share our sample social media posts throughout the week to spread the word about how massage therapy can help people, using the hashtag #MyRMTHelpsMe. This is a great way to encourage your followers to share the positive impact massage therapy has had for them, and to celebrate the important role RMTs play during Massage Therapy Awareness Week.
To help you spread the word, we have also updated our Social Media Toolkit to ensure it includes the most current social media best practices and updates, and includes section on paid as well as organic social media strategies and considerations. The Social Media Toolkit is exclusively available for RMTAO members.
We will also be highlighting our Patient Stories Videos during Massage Therapy Awareness Week to further highlight the ways that massage therapy can help. We will be creating additional patient stories videos in the coming months, so if you know a patient who might be interested, contact info@rmtao.com for more information.
RMTs play an important role in health care, helping people reduce their pain and improve their physical function. Massage therapy can be beneficial for a variety of injuries, conditions and circumstances, and massage therapy treatment can be adapted to an individual patient’s needs and preferences to get the best possible results.
“RMTs are an important part of peoples health care. They can help people reduce their pain and improve their physical function,” said Michael Feraday, Executive Director and CEO of the RMTAO. “The diversity of patients that can benefit from massage therapy is astounding, and this week we hope to highlight the different ways massage therapy can help.”
RMTs work closely with other health professionals and adapt their treatment for individuals of all ages and conditions. Research has shown that massage therapy can help people relieve musculoskeletal pain caused by a variety of conditions and can help people improve their mobility. Some of the posts we’re sharing this week highlight those different ways massage therapy can help.
This Massage Therapy Awareness Week we will be highlighting different benefits of massage therapy, through our sample social media posts and massage therapy videos, and providing our members with the tools they need to share these benefits on their own channels through our Social Media Toolkit. We’re asking our audience to share how massage therapy helped them using the hashtags #MyRMTHelpsMe and #MTAW to participate in the celebration.
