Hamilton CBN Meeting
Topic: Incorporating breath techniques and centering exercises into treatment and remedial exercise.
Our guest speaker, Robert House will be addressing:
- Mechanics of breathing
- Am I breathing correctly?
- 2/3 techniques of breathing exercise
- Centering exercise
Robert House has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for the last six. His journey with yoga began during an emotional time in his life, where he discovered its profound ability to support and guide him through life's challenges.
A dedicated student of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, Robert is also immersed in the Himalayan tradition, drawn to its deep focus on breath and meditation. His studies and practice have shown him the transformative effects of working with each layer of the body, and he is passionate about sharing this knowledge with others.
As a C-IAYT yoga therapist, Robert integrates breath-centric asana, meditation, and philosophy to create a balanced and supportive practice. He teaches what he practices, offering students a space to cultivate awareness, resilience, and well-being. He also applies these teachings in his career as a project manager and as a hike leader, bringing mindfulness, balance, and resilience into his professional and outdoor pursuits.
Everyone is welcome!
Please note - This CBN meeting may include hands-on activities. Massage Therapy students should consult with their schools/instructors prior to attending before participating in any hands-on activities.
