NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario will take place on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 9:00am at the Toronto Marriott Airport Hotel, located at 901 Dixon Road, Toronto, Ontario.

At the Annual General Meeting, members and stakeholders will receive important information about the activities of the RMTAO over the past year. The following matters constitute the agenda:

  1. Call to Order, Welcome and Introductions
  2. Approval of the Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on January 29, 2023. Download the 2023 AGM Draft Minutes. 
  3. Board Chair's Report on behalf of the Board of Directors
  4. Executive Director's Report on Operations
  5. Auditor's Report & Audited Financial Statements for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2023
  6. Appointment of the Auditor
  7. Report on the Election of Directors.
  8. Proposed bylaw ammendments.  Review the proposed bylaw ammendments.
  9. Such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

Important Notes

Vote by Proxy

If you are unable to attend the Annual General Meeting in person at the date and time stated above, please complete the Proxy Form that is available for download below and return it to the RMTAO by mail, fax or other electronic version prior to 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024. In order for the AGM to proceed, 1% of the members must be present in person/virtually or by proxy, which means a large number of proxies will be required.

Live Stream the Event 

The RMTAO will be live-streaming the Annual General Meeting for those unable to attend in person. Please note that those streaming the meeting will not be able to vote but are welcome to submit a proxy form. The link to stream the meeting will be provided prior to the meeting, and you must register in advance.

CMTO Presentation

Immediately following the RMTAO Annual General Meeting, representatives of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) will be making a presentation.

Join Maureen Boon, Registrar and CEO, as she describes CMTO’s collaborative work to prevent sexual abuse, build engagement and partnerships, achieve regulatory excellence and foster equity, diversity, and inclusion.

The RMTAO has negotiated a special group rate of $195 (CAD+tax) at the Toronto Airport Marriott Hotel. Please note this rate for RMTAO members is only available until January 4, 2024.
